It would be a unique feature for the 'hard drive only' freesat recorders. Judging by the latest Freeview+ Sagem I am currently reviewing - editing is easy to use, and rather uniquely for Freeview PVR that do have editing - it can 'merge' files too. It would make sense to retain the editing features (assuming the transfering of recordings via USB is still included on release). It would be a unique feature for the ‘hard drive only’ freesat recorders.

If like you me you bought a recent model with the latest software they don't need resetting all that often and are dead easy to use.
